BIOGRAPHY

Jacqueline Gikow is a New York City-based artist, designer, and writer with an academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial professional background.

Design Professional
Jacqueline Gikow has been an exhibiting artist with work in various permanent and private collections, receiving national recognition for her work.

Ms Gikow also has provided design services to manufacturers and corporations, creating giftware and home accessories, graphics, illustration, packaging, point-of-purchase, textile design and visual merchandising.

Author and Educator
Ms. Gikow is a published author on craft and design issues, and has spoken at a number of professional symposiums. She wrote and illustrated a college level text, Graphic Illustration in Black and White, which was published by Design Press/McGraw Hill, and Polymer Clay; Creating Functional and Decorative Objects, published by Krause Publications.

Ms. Gikow's background includes over eight years as a college professor, as well as many years as a designer, writer, and studio artist.

With many years of computer experience, Ms Gikow has worked as an online instructor in partnership with America Online where she created the content for and taught art and design-related courses, and with Sessions.edu, the only fully online art school offering courses that provides college credit for transfer.

Jacqueline Gikow's educational background and training include a Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University, and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University, New York, as well as numerous workshops and classes in art and design.
